About Fork & Kite

Fork & Kite helps busy families plan the week: easy dinners, lunchboxes kids actually eat, fun things to do and simple ways to celebrate. Less “what’s for dinner?” and more “this was an amazing day!”

Made by humans, for humans

Fork & Kite is run by a real family. Every recipe, plan and idea on this site comes from what actually works in our own kitchen and our own busy weeks. We use AI as a helper, to style some photos, draw Kite and tidy up our words, but the love and care come from us: a real family sharing what works.

What we do

We build every page around one question a parent is already asking: What do I cook tonight? What do I pack tomorrow? What do we do today? How do we celebrate? Each answer is meant to be used right away, with a phone in one hand and a kid in the other.

  • Breakfast & Dinner: weeknight recipes with short ingredient lists, one-pan methods and kid-friendly options.
  • Lunchboxes & Snacks: packable ideas that don’t need reheating.
  • Things to Do: simple, low-cost activities for after school and weekends.
  • Holidays & Parties: easy food, games and printables for the days that matter.

Your week, planned

Every Saturday morning, our free email plans the week ahead: 5 dinners, lunchbox ideas, weekend fun and one grocery list to match. One email a week, and you can leave anytime.

How we make our recipes

  • Recipes are written to be followed step by step, with clear times, temperatures and a “kid job” for little helpers.
  • We include food-safety temperatures where they matter, like chicken cooked to 165°F (74°C).
  • Every recipe page has a printable card, a servings switch and step timers.
  • If you spot a mistake, tell us at [email protected]. We fix errors quickly and update the page.

About our photos and illustrations

Our food photos are AI-styled images created from our recipes, and our illustrations (including Kite) are made for Fork & Kite with the help of AI tools. AI is our assistant, never the author: the recipes and ideas are ours. We’ll replace AI photos with real ones over time, and we work to keep every image faithful to the recipe it shows.

Meet Kite

Kite is our little dough chef with fork-shaped hair. He shows up in the kitchen, packs lunches, explores the park and loves a party. He’s here to make planning feel a little more fun.
